Ask Sakineh Why Iran Must Never Obtain a Nuclear Weapon

Warning: This post contains nauseating content.

Imagine, for a moment, burying a person in the dirt up to their collarbones. Then, with an utterly defenseless human neck and face exposed, you pick up a baseball-sized rock or bigger and hurl it with enough force to begin inflicting the slow process of death. The skull, the jaw, the cheeks, they eyes, the nose and teeth all targets for a group of evil sadists. Unimaginable pain must certainly match the horrific inhumanity of a stoning.

Your eyes swell shut, your teeth battered and bleeding as your jaw and nose fracture, your skull cracks open yet the pain only builds. Never before has death been so recruited and welcomed.

Think about it.

What person, what government, what religion could stomach and sanction such brutal savagery? What absolute dearth of a being could do such a thing?  That type of vicious, depraved cruelty takes a unique mammal to perpetrate, one certainly devoid of any human trait of compassion or empathy.

As we watch the horror of the Sakineh Mohammadie Ashtiani sentencing unfold, remember that any country engaging in such cruel and wicked “justice” would not think twice about inflicting sever pain, suffering and violent death on “the others” they contrive to be guilty. The next time you hear of UN actions, the United Nations Security Council and their “sanctions with teeth” against the Iran’s nuclear ambitions, please remember this.

Once you cross the hell-drawn line of satanically killing with a handful of rocks, hurling a rocket is a layup.

Fox News and Megyn Kelly Fumble in Voter Intimidation Report

Fox News and Megyn Kelly, not to mention Trace Gallagher, owe their viewers an apology. OK…let’s wait together. Hmm, Hmm, Hmm, Hmm, Hmm. Megyn? Hello? Apology please. Still waiting….Can someone get Roger Ailes on the phone?

While reporting on the the Philadelphia voter intimidation case, Megyn, Trace and a hand full of undisclosed producers at Fox News teased a video of the New Black Panthers Samir Shabaz just before a commercial. You know SS. The guy with the club standing outside the voting booths in Philly that sparked the current DOJ case. When the show returned and Megyn tossed it to Trace Gallagher, he claims the video “too incendiary” to air. What? “We report. You decide.” Huh? What?

FOX NEWS: We redact. You decide.

Megyn, Megyn, Megyn. Show us. Don’t shield us.

Now, true, the video is an angry, verbally-violent and racist rant by Mr. Shabaz. As a “cracker” not an easy clip to sit through. That this type of racial anger still exists is truly sad and unfortunate. The only thing more disappointing is the decision by Fox News to “protect us” from news that they perceive to be “too incendiary.”

FOX bleeped out the vulgarity during the first airing; OK. If FOX wants to air a warning, a disclaimer prior to the video, OK as well. But to tease the video and then chicken out during the commercial break is not what we need.

Today, some news is “incendiary.” Here’s the thing, though. That news is combustible makes it worthy of broadcast. News, albeit too hot to handle, should not be too hot to report. In the end it’s the only news we can use; why shield us from the news we need to see? Reporting the truth, as despicable and explosive as it can be, is the only news that stands a chance of making a difference in our world.

“Brian, Brian, Brian why let truth taint the process?”

President Obama Should Look for “Ass to Kick” at Goldman Sachs

It’s always amazed me how elected officials, the President included, threaten to kick some ass knowing full well that should it ever come down to squaring shoulders, you’ve got the Secret Service to back you up. Chicago Mayor Daley threatened a reporter with a proctological pistol exam knowing he had armed bodyguards protecting him. Still, that’s another story.

According to an article today in Real Clear Politics, President Obama is ready to go gangsta“I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick.”

O.K. Gotcha, Mr. President.

I’ve got an idea; how about kick some Goldman Sachs ass?

In that the management at Goldman Sachs is now refusing to cooperate with the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission forcing a subpoena to gain information after multiple requests and refusals for the same. No help in clearing up their role in one of the greatest economic disasters since the great depression? Want to throw down over spilled fossil fuels? How about picking a fight over the financial collapse?

Mr. President. You’re in the mood to beat some butt, to kick some ass? How about pummeling your pals at Goldman Sachs?

Study: WHO Hype More Harmful than the H1N1 Itself

Over a year ago I renamed the Swine Flu  the “Whine Flu” and wondered if the World Health Organization was scaring the globe while inflating the fears of a flu pandemic. Wow! Perhaps I should have called it the $wine Flu.  Now comes a Washington Post report suggesting that some believe that the WHO exaggerated the global spread and the ferocity of the Swine Flu and may have done so in collusion with drug manufacturers of certain vaccines.

WHO Breeding Fears of Influenza for Financial Reasons? What next?

When will it end? Global warming, global pandemics, global BS, global spin?

If you can’t trust the WHO, who can you trust?

Hatch Hatches Plan to Help at Home with Horrific Polling Numbers

Breaking News: GOP Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah is seeking his seventh term, that’s right, seventh term. Not surprisingly, in the season of the un-incumbant, Mr. Hatch is way behind in the polls. So, what to do? Let’s say we follow Huffington, Drudge or any other news outlet and see if we can’t fabricate some outrage to write a bill about. Enter the “The Stolen Valor Act” amendment being currently proposed by the crafty, old politician.

According to a story in Politico, the new legislation would make it illegal to creatively enhance your resume. The bill defines such lowlifes as “whoever knowingly makes a fraudulent statement or representation, verbally or in writing, regarding the person’s record of military service in the United States Armed Forces, including but not limited to, participation in combat operations, for the purposes of gaining recognition, honorarium, official office, or other position of authority.”

We now need an additional law to force our politicians to tell the truth about their military backgrounds? A law, making it illegal to lie in order to get a ticket to Capital Hill? We need a law for that? A law that our elected officials be honest? A law? Legislation making lying a crime?

Senator Hatch, when you’ve spent your last 36 years as a hammer, you see everything as a nail, or in your case, 6 terms as Senator makes it seem like we are all in need of another law.

I’ve an idea for the soon to be outgoing United States Senator from Utah. Why not let the people decide the fate of a politician that misleads the electorate? There’s a thought. Why not let the media do its job and out those that are dishonest in quoting their own military resume? Why not get in front of the curve and author a law for term limits for all of Congress? Six terms is more than enough sir.

Secretary Salazar Oil Spill Bravado Not Based in Fact

Nearly a month after the BP Deepwater Horizon oil rig ruptured and began polluting the Gulf of Mexico, our Interior Secretary offered the following promise. “If we find that they’re not doing what they’re supposed to be doing, we’ll push them out of the way,” said Ken Salazar. “We’ll push them out of the way.” Hmmm. OK.

Fast forward to today when, during a White House Press conference focusing on the man-made disaster, Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen was asked to respond to the earlier comments of Sec. Salazar.  Raising an eyebrow, shrugging his shoulders and turning his palms skyward, he answered the question with a question, “and replace them with what?” He continued that the United States has neither the “competence, capability or capacity” to answer a disaster at 5000 feet beneath the surface of the Gulf.

Moments later on Fox News Studio B with Shepard Smith, White House spokesperson David Axelrod concurred saying the United States was not equipped to take over the sealing of the damaged pipeline. So, bottom line? In spite of all the strong words and soundbites we can’t “push them out of the way.” We don’t need tough words, we need tough actions. We don’t need bravado Mr. Secretary; we need to blow the well, seal it and save the affected Gulf shores.

Though that action will cause British Petroleum to loose not only the oil reservoir but the billions in invested and future dollars, tough luck.

BLOW the WELL.

Highland Park High School Hysteria Over Arizona Boycott

Here we go. We’ve been waiting for a tipping point in the lunacy surrounding the new, stringent Arizona illegal immigration law and we finally have it. Where, exactly, you ask? Highland Park, Illinois.

President Obama criticized the law, Attorney General Eric Holder hasn’t bothered even reading it, Mexico’s Foreign Minster issues a travel advisory over it, Catholic Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles equates it to “Nazism” while the NBA Phoenix Suns changed their uniforms over it and now Assistant Superintendent Suzan Hebson decides to prohibit the Highland Park High School girls varsity basketball team from traveling to a tournament in Arizona. Really?

According to the Chicago Tribune, Ms. Hebson ”We would want to ensure that all of our students had the opportunity to be included and be safe and be able to enjoy the experience,” Hebson said of the basketball tournament in Arizona. “We wouldn’t necessarily be able to guarantee that.” Piling on, Superintendent George Fornero stated in a letter to concerned parents, “We cannot commit at this time to playing at a venue where some of our students’ safety or liberty might be placed at risk because of state immigration law.”

From the court room to a high school basketball court? Are you kidding me? How did we go from shooting 3 pointers to espousing your political opinion, Ms. Hebson?

Mr. Fornero and Ms. Hebson, a few final questions for you? Do you have an illegal alien on your team? If you do, can she behave herself long enough to visit Arizona and play basketball without committing an offense that local police could initially detain her for?

NO crime, NO credentials check.

God as the Ultimate Scapegoat

Disclaimer: I firmly believe that any Heaven run by a God that would threaten you with Hell, is no Heaven at all. Nor do I find myself a fan of the fire and brimstone/Armageddon motif. Though it puts me in contrast with the Bible, the “vengeful” bent in God is way overplayed. Now I know about the banishment from the Garden of Eden, the 40 Day Flood and a whole host of plagues yet still don’t see God as an arm-twisting, leg-braking destructive deity. Sorry, I just don’t see God as a bully.

You sure wouldn’t know it of late. If something bad is happening in the world, God is the instigator, the perpetrator and the culprit.

Pat Robertson targets God as the cause of destruction in Haiti, Rush Limbaugh votes God the cause of the Volcano eruption in Iceland. Last month Islamic clerics claimed that provocatively dressed young women provoked God to unleash the recent rash of earthquakes, and now Governor Rick Perry accuses God of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill while British Petroleum lays it on “the Lord.” Massive numbers still blame God for the Indonesian Tsunami. Talk about ruining a reputation with slander and libel. Wow.

When it comes to natural disasters, do we always have to find a super-natural power to lay it on? At the very least, couldn’t someone accuse Satan of any of this crap; the Devil made the earth do it?

Since the earliest days of humankind, cavemen and cavewomen saw lightning hit a tree and decried the heavenly deity of their day. Zuess with his lightning bolt, Poseidon with his trident is an old literary feature. Wouldn’t you think we could have grown up a bit, perhaps surrender ancient myths of God’s wrath and mayhem?

Seems to me the only ones still bent on “highlighting” God’s coercion are those that do so purely for their own benefit. They threaten and intimidate because it is their “will be done” and it has nothing to do with God.

Fox News More Like Oprah Book Club for Dick Morris

I’d like to congratulate Dick Morris on making it a total of 17 seconds into his O’Reilly Factor interview with guest host Juan Williams before he shamelessly (once again) plugged his latest book. The final kicker was calling Florida Governor Charlie Crist a “colossal egomaniac.” A “colossal egomaniac”? Are you kidding me?  In the category of “It takes one to know one,” Morris takes the cake.

Hey Mr. O’Reilly. Instead of a No Spin Zone how about a No Plug Zone?

It’s not just The Factor. Day and night, from Hannity to Kelly, the interviews with Morris quickly deteriorate into an infomercial for his book. Far from political commentary, his appearances are pure publicity stunts.

Come on FOX. If he needs help with his book, send him to QVC.

No Defense in Good Samaritan Death

I’d like to talk about Flooding. Not the floods brought by Spring rains, runoffs of melting snow and compromised riverbanks or the meteorological causes. I’m talking capital ‘F’ Flooding referenced in the Book Of Genesis as punishment for the wickedness of the human race. I’ve always had a hard time wrapping my mind around just how evil people would have to be to infuriate God to such a degree to warrant a 40-day rain.

Then I hear the story of 31-year-old Hugo Alfredo Tale-Yax, the homeless good Samaritan murdered bravely defending a female robbery victim in New York City and it all begins to make sense to me.

Though as despicable, contemptible and unconscionable as the actions of those that passed the dying man, lying in a puddle of his own pooling blood, the post mortem attempts to justify or rationalize the reasons he was ignored as he bled to death are also horrifyingly abhorrent. Some things are simply indefensible.

In just a few hours last evening, I compiled the following list of a variety of news reports and shows where experts offered possible explanations for the sadistic behavior.

“Thought it was a reality show.” Thought it would “take too much time to report to Police.” Thought they “might be sued”. Were “busy on their cell phone and didn’t see”. Thought the guy was “homeless”. Group dynamic; “no one else stopped.”On their way to work and couldn’t be bothered.” It was “too dark” to clearly see.

The cowardly events surrounding the death of Mr. Hugo Alfredo Tale-Yax are unpardonable. However you attempt to spin the psychology it’s still plain sickening. I hope the robber is found, prosecuted and punished. I hope the rescued female victim and the 1/2 a dozen or so gutless scumbags that failed to offer aid see the news reports of this incident and it eats at them like a cancer, that their nightmares rip at them  and that they live very long lives tormented by their gutless reflections in the mirror. I hope they realize that the Flood was intended for disgraceful, heartless human beings such as themselves.
