In the retail world it references a malfunctioning, damaged or defective product. Once identified, the faulty product needs to be removed from the marketplace by returning it to its original vendor. Got to get it off the shelves! You have a piece of defective gear, you return it.
If we find some bad DNA running around our streets, our country, our planet, should we not remove it from the human marketplace?
When your actions evince a vicious disregard for the life of another, you have an expiration date. Some DNA displays a depraved indifference to humanity.
